Collection and Use of Personal Information

If you are a consumer as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA”), the personal information collected from you includes information within the below categories of data. These categories also represent the categories of personal information that we have collected, disclosed, or “sold” or “shared” over the past 12 months. Please note that we may disclose some categories of Personal Information in connection with certain types of advertisements, which could be considered “selling” or “sharing” under the CCPA. We do not knowingly “sell” or “share” the personal information of individuals under the age of 16. The source of the information is set forth above in the section titled Personal Data We Collect.

Inclusion of a category in the list below indicates only that, depending on the services and products we provide you, we may collect some information within that category. It does not necessarily mean that we collect all information listed in a particular category for all our consumers, nor does it imply that California law applies to you.

If you are an applicant, we use this information to open and administer your file. It is also processed in order to detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent or illegal activity, for compliance management, data analytics and technological development of our systems. It is also processed for advertising and marketing purposes.

Sensitive Personal Information. For purposes of the CCPA, we do not process "sensitive" personal information for purposes other than those specified in section 7027(m) of the CCPA Regulations (such as to provide the services and for security purposes).

Purposes

We may use this personal information and/or disclose it to third parties for the following purposes, including commercial purposes: 

  • to provide our products and services;
  • to accomplish our business purposes and objectives, including:
    • developing, improving, repairing, and maintaining our products and services;
    • personalizing, advertising, and marketing our products and services;
    • conducting risk and security controls and monitoring;
    • detecting and preventing fraud, and other prohibited or illegal activity;
    • maintaining and improving our facilities and infrastructure;
    • performing accounting, audit, and other internal functions;
    • complying with the law, legal process, and internal policies; 
    • conducting research, analytics, and data analysis;
    • quality and safety assurance measures; 
    • performing identity verification; and 
  • to operate, manage, and maintain our business, including corporate transactions, such as in connection with a sale, acquisition, reorganization, merger, or transfer of all or a part of our business, or other corporate transaction (e.g., a bankruptcy, or similar proceedings). 

Depending on your interactions with us, we may not have used personal information collected about you for each of these purposes. In addition, any personal information we may have disclosed about you, such disclosure may not include all of the personal information collected about you.  

Privacy Rights

As a California resident, you have certain rights, subject to legal limitations and applicable exceptions, regarding the collection, use, and sale or sharing of your personal information. These rights include:

  • The right to know: You have the right to know how we have collected, used and shared your personal information over the last twelve months, including the categories of sources from which the personal information is collected; the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing personal information; the categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal information; and the specific pieces of personal information the business has collected about you.  
  • The right to correct: You have the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal information that we may have on file about you.    
  • The right to delete: You have the right to request that we delete your personal informationwe have collected about you. Subject to certain exceptions, we must delete your personal information and direct any service provider to delete your personal information.  
  • The right to opt-out: You have the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. To exercise this right, please visit our cookie categories.
  • The right to non-discrimination: You have the right to not be discriminated against by us for choosing to exercise your rights under the CCPA.

Under the CCPA, California consumers have certain rights which they may exercise independently or through an authorized agent. As permitted by the CCPA, any request you submit to us through an authorized agent is subject to an identification and verification process, which will depend on the nature of the request and the personal information requested and will be further explained in response to a request.  For your protection, we reserve the right to deny any request from an agent who does not submit proof that they have been authorized to act on your behalf.
