Antero Ortega-Velazco Named Site Manager of the LyondellBasell Edison Plant

EDISON, NJ. – March 8, 2018 –LyondellBasell, one of the world’s largest plastics, chemical and refining companies, appointed Antero Ortega-Velazco as the new site manager of its Edison Plant, overseeing more than 60 employees and contractors in his new role.

Ortega-Velazco is replacing David Schrutka who is will go on to assume an operations position within LyondellBasell.

With more than 20 years of manufacturing, maintenance and engineering experience, Ortega-Velazco previously served as the site manager at LyondellBasell’s plant in Fairport Harbor, Ohio.

"Our Edison Plant has an impressive safety record and exciting future ahead," said Ortega-Velazco. "Our Edison Plant is an economic engine for the local community, and home to several dozen hard-working employees and contractors. I am truly pleased to work alongside this fine group."

Ortega-Velazco holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Madero in Tamaulipas, Mexico.
