Edison Plant parent LyondellBasell named one of the World’s Most Admired Companies

EDISON, NJ.- Jan. 23, 2018 -- LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB), the operator of the Edison Plant in Edison, NJ has been named to Fortune Magazine’s list of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” for 2018. This is a first-time achievement for LyondellBasell, one of the world’s largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies.
“Our employees work around the clock to safely provide the plastics, chemicals, materials, fuels, and technologies that the world relies on every day,” said Antero Ortega Velazco, the manager of LyondellBasell’s Edison Plant. “So to be recognized for how our local contributions add to this honor is very exciting for the workers of Edison.”

The list, which is voted on by industry peers, including executives, directors and financial analysts, sought feedback on the company’s performance in nine key areas – the ability to attract and retain talent, the quality of management, social responsibility, innovation, quality of products and services, use of corporate assets, financial soundness, long-term investment value and global competitiveness.
