HOUSTON, Texas – Nov. 14, 2017 – LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB), one of the world's largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies, announced today a $9,000 donation to Pasadena ISD’s Career and Technical High School (CTHS) to fund student training programs for the Manufacturing and Construction Academy. The company has donated a total of $134,000 since the school’s inception in 2014.
“Some of our future employees are sitting in classrooms at CTHS right now,” said Jerome Mauvigney, Site Manager of LyondellBasell’s Houston Refinery. “Our company is proud to invest in the education and training of these students who are key to the industry’s vitality.”

With the company’s support over the years, CTHS has developed its construction, engineering, precision machinery, welding, electrical and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) programs. The school’s mission is to empower students to develop career skills through unique educational experiences.
