LyondellBasell and its employees from the Lansing Business and Technical Center raised more than $7,400 for the Capital Area United Way for the 2013-14 campaign, including more than $3,000 in employee contributions along with the company match.
“Capital Area United Way is deeply appreciative for the generous corporate and employee gifts from LyondellBasell,” said Capital Area United Way President and CEO Teresa Kmetz. “These funds will help continue to provide essential services to those who are in need in our community.”
Supporting the United Way has become an annual tradition and part of LyondellBasell’s continued commitment of giving back to the community. Each year the campaign helps fund thousands of programs, in communities across the country, that people in need have come to rely upon.
“Once again our employees have shown their commitment to helping those in need,” said Lansing Business and Technical Center Site Manager Matt Collier.
The generosity of LyondellBasell and its employees resulted in a total contribution of $2.6 million to United Way agencies across the nation during the 2013-14 campaign.
“Organizations like LyondellBasell help ensure that when our community residents need help, services are available to them,” Kmetz said.
