Lake Charles – On Saturday, April 29, employees at both Lake Charles facilities joined more than 120 volunteers from throughout Southwest Louisiana to help recycle paint products for residents of Southwest Louisiana.
Since 2000, the Lake Area Industry Alliance has hosted the recycling event each year, providing an opportunity for local citizens to properly dispose of residential paint products, thus protecting the environment from the harmful effects of thrown away paint. This year, volunteer participants successfully recycled 1350 gallons of dropped off paint from residents.
“Thank you for participating in our Paint Recycling Event,” said Jim Rock, executive director, Lake Area Industry Alliance. “Having site managers roll up their sleeves and working alongside employee volunteers sets a great example.”
