LyondellBasell participated in the annual Deer Park fire prevention parade, held on Saturday October 5th to kick off Fire Prevention Week. The parade is known as the loudest parade in the area, it features an impressive lineup of emergency vehicles from surrounding municipalities and local industries, showcasing their commitment to fire safety.
Four LYB sites participated, including teams from the La Porte Complex (LPO), Bayport Choate site (BLO), Bayport Polymers site (BYO), and the Houston Refinery site (HRO). Each team brought its unique fire apparatus to the parade. The event raises awareness about fire prevention and fosters community spirit and collaboration.
LPO was recognized for having the Best Booster Truck, BLO won the Best Industrial Engine, and HRO took home the trophy for the Best Industrial Aerial. The Deer Park Fire Prevention Parade remains a cherished tradition, uniting the community in the mission of fire safety and prevention.
